Is it permissible to add to the Tarawih prayer with the Imam with the intention of praying the even-numbered rak'ahs (shaf') and then completing the Witr prayer alone?

It is permissible to leave the Imam during Tarawih prayer and to pray Witr with a single rak'ah individually, as Witr is valid with one rak'ah. However, it is better to complete the Tarawih prayer with the Imam until he finishes, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Indeed, if a man prays with the Imam until he departs, it will be recorded for him as spending the entire night in prayer."
