Is it permissible to daily repeat the dhikr: "There is no god but Allah, Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace," while adding the salutation upon the Prophet within the statement of Tawhid, or is this considered an innovation and a deception?

It has been previously explained that Islamic law is not derived from dreams, and that seeing the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, while awake after his death, is not possible. Therefore, whoever claims to receive rulings or invocations from him in a dream, or to see him while awake, their statement is false and from the deception of Iblis. As for adding prayers upon him after the declaration of monotheism (the Shahada), there is no harm in it, due to the general evidence indicating the permissibility of invoking blessings upon him when his name is mentioned. However, the fatwas of the Permanent Committee have stated that the remembrance of "La ilaha illallah, Muhammad rasulullah" with this addition and persistent adherence to it is not prescribed.
