Hijab is obligatory for women, and demanding equality between genders contradicts both Islamic law and reason; for a woman, by her nature, is arousing to a man, and hijab prevents arousal and harm. It is forbidden for a man to shake hands with a non-mahram woman, and he is not permitted to touch her body whether with desire or without desire. Islamic law blocked the means (to sin) and prohibited looking at a non-mahram woman or taking her as a friend outside the framework of a valid marriage.
