Are shaking hands and raising the hands for supplication permissible after the Taslim of the obligatory prayer?

Neither of the two mentioned acts, shaking hands and raising the hands in supplication after concluding the prayer (Taslim), has any religious text to support it. Thus, they are innovative (bid'ah) practices. The caution lies in their specific timing and persistent practice particularly after prayer. However, raising the hands in supplication between the Adhan and Iqamah or a Muslim shaking hands with his brother upon meeting is permissible at times other than this specific timing.
