What is the meaning of Allah's saying: "Indeed, Allah does not love the exultant," and what is intended by that?

The Almighty's saying, "Indeed, Allah does not like the jubilant," is an address from the righteous among Qārūn's people to him when he transgressed against them, and his heart became filled with arrogance and conceit due to the wealth Allah had bestowed upon him. This [verse] does not include the joy of one whom Allah has given wealth or prestige, and who has not been led by it to arrogance or insolence.
