What is the ruling on intoning supplications (du'a) in Tarawih prayers?

The supplicant should be humble and submissive, as Allah Almighty says: (Call upon your Lord humbly and privately. Indeed, He does not like transgressors). Scholars have considered raising one's voice, shouting, and forcing rhymed prose to be transgressions in supplication, because it distracts from reflecting on the supplication. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "O people, be gentle with yourselves, for you are not calling upon one who is deaf or absent." Therefore, it is better for one who performs qunut with the people to restrict himself to what is authentically reported from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, as a means of lightening the burden and being gentle with the people.
