How can romance and sweet talk between spouses be an act of worship?

Exchanging kind words between spouses, such as expressions of love, is permissible in Islamic law, due to the prevalence of affection and the continuity of love that result from it. If this is done with the right intention, it becomes an act of worship for which the doer is rewarded, as a permissible act transforms into an act of obedience through a good intention.
