Does the Hadith about deeds not being raised due to abandonment for more than three days apply to me, and are my prayers, fasting, and repentance unacceptable, given that I initiated reconciliation after a period?
It is advisable to think well of your friend, for there might have been an unseen reason for him to avoid the meeting. If no meeting occurs between you after that situation, then you should not seek a meeting, and it is not considered a forbidden abandonment (hajr). The forbidden abandonment is not greeting when encountering each other. The warning mentioned in the noble Hadith about delaying forgiveness for disputing parties does not apply to you, as that applies to those who are in a state of mutual abandonment. The forbidden abandonment ceases with a greeting, and this is the view of the majority of scholars.
