A woman's going out to work is permissible under the following Islamic conditions: wearing the legal , not using perfume or adornment, avoiding mixing with men as much as possible, not speaking with them unnecessarily, and having her husband's permission. If she refuses to wear the hijab, you should advise her with wisdom and gentleness. If she does not comply, forsake her in bed. If she persists, then separation is preferable.
