What is the ruling on donating to a charity that deals with non-Islamic banks or has accounts with them?

Donating to a charity is permissible, even if it deals with usurious banks, unless it has an usurious investment account where it places donation funds. If the donor is certain or highly presumes that their funds will be placed in an usurious investment account, then it is not permissible to donate to it. The Permanent Committee has issued a permitting charities to open accounts in banks to facilitate receiving donations, as long as the purpose is not usurious investment. The charity must not invest funds or other donations except with the permission of their owners and on the condition that the investment is permissible.
