What is the ruling regarding a young man's statement: "I will not pray, what benefit do I get from prayer?" after he has stopped praying?

Indeed, the statement of someone who justifies abandoning prayer in a Muslim country by saying, "What do I benefit from prayer?" is an act of disbelief (kufr), because it indicates a lack of submission to Allah's commands and a disregard for a great obligation among the obligations of Islam. Prayer is obligatory for achieving success and prosperity in this world and the hereafter. Moreover, a person must be careful with their words, for a single word can raise one's ranks or cast them into Hell. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, described abandoning prayer as disbelief, and it is the first thing a servant will be held accountable for on the Day of Judgment.
