What is the ruling on a young man changing his name and attributing his lineage to his real father, given that his adoptive mother threatens suicide if he does so?

Adoption is forbidden and entails many corruptions. The children can clarify this to their mother by presenting fatwas on the subject. The real father, to whom one may be ascribed, is he who was from a valid marriage. As for adultery, it does not establish paternity.
