An ordinary person is allowed to emulate whomever he wishes from the recognized madhhabs (schools of thought). There is no sin in emulating the Maliki , which holds the view that the dog's body, saliva, and tears are pure. However, its excretions, such as urine and feces, are considered impure by them and by others.
