What is meant by belief in the Books?

Belief in the Books entails four matters: firm conviction that they are revealed from Allah; detailed belief in those named by Allah, such as the Torah, the Gospel, the Psalms, and the Qur’an, and general belief in those not named; belief in the authenticity of their confirmed accounts; and belief that the Qur’an is a judge over them, confirming them, and predominating over them, abrogating previous rulings and establishing new ones, and that it is obligatory to follow and act upon it.

Its fruits are: knowledge of Allah's care for His servants, His wisdom in His legislations, gratitude for His blessings, and attention to the Qur’an through recitation, contemplation, and action.
