Is it permissible for a girl to study in colleges and universities?

There is no harm in a woman studying at university as long as the subjects are permissible, unless the study leads to a religiously forbidden act, such as intermingling (free mixing of genders), immodest display (tabarruj), or traveling without a mahram.
