Is it permissible to worship Allah and avoid sins solely out of fear of Hellfire, and is one who does so considered a Muslim?

Worship is valid and sufficient even if performed out of fear of Allah’s punishment without aspiring to His reward. However, it is better to combine both hope and fear. Similarly, refraining from disobedience out of fear of punishment — the one who does so is on the right path.
