Is celebrating the 25th, 50th, or 75th anniversary of the opening of companies and institutions an innovation (bid‘ah) or a tradition (sunnah)?

It is not permissible to hold parties and distribute gifts to celebrate anniversaries of opening a shop, school, or any project. This is because it involves creating innovative, bid'ah holidays in Islam, and it imitates the disbelievers. Therefore, it is obligatory to abandon it and beware of it. Celebrating jubilees is an innovative, bid'ah celebration in religion, a contention against the command of the Lord of the Worlds, an imitation of the disbelievers, and an exaltation of their sacred rites. It must be prohibited, just as other innovative celebrations are prohibited.
