Is it permissible for a pregnant woman to supplicate in prayer, specifying the gender of the fetus?

It is permissible to pray for the determination of the fetus's gender during prayer. The fact that something is predetermined does not prevent one from asking Allah Almighty for it, as Allah wrote the destinies of all creatures fifty thousand years before He created the heavens and the earth. One should ask Allah Almighty for righteous and blessed offspring.
