Is it permissible for an employee to purchase equipment for his company from a company in which he is a founding partner?

An agent is not permitted to purchase for his principal a commodity that he himself owns or partially owns. This is because it contradicts the purpose of obtaining a lower price for the principal, and because the fundamental principle is that the offeror and acceptor cannot be the same person.
