Is it permissible to say: "Praise be to Allah until the praise reaches its end," and does this entail any offense to Allah Almighty, given what it suggests about the praise having an end?
The expression clarifies that praise to Allah Almighty is a praise that He (exalted be He) truly deserves and is due to Him, and that a servant cannot reach its ultimate extent. For praising Allah and showing gratitude for His blessings is considered a new blessing, which necessitates further endless praise and gratitude. Al-Hafiz Ibn Hajar clarified that the meaning of phrases such as "praise reaching the utmost perfection" is not a claim by the servant to have achieved such praise, but rather a description of the complete praise that Allah Almighty fully deserves. Therefore, the most sublime praise is: "Praise be to Allah, a praise that is commensurate with His blessings and is a recompense for His bounties."
