Is suffering from the continuous dripping of urine after ablution and prayer, which takes a long time and makes prayer beyond one's capacity, considered incontinence, and what should be done about it?
If drops of urine exit after every ablution and prayer, then the woman is afflicted with urinary incontinence ( سلس البول). She must perform ablution after the time for prayer begins and take precautions by tying a cloth over the area to prevent the spread of impurity. She can pray the obligatory prayer and as many supererogatory prayers as she wishes with this ablution until the time for the prayer expires. The Malikis are of the view that taking precautions is not obligatory. It is necessary to resist obsessive thoughts and turn away from them. She may adopt the easiest opinions of scholars as long as the obsessive thoughts persist.
