Isbāl is the lengthening of garments below the ankles. A severe warning of hellfire has been issued for those who do it, whether out of arrogance or not, because the is general. As for one who drags his garment out of arrogance, his punishment is more severe: Allah will not look at him on the Day of Resurrection. It is also forbidden to wear transparent clothes that reveal the 'awrah (private parts), or tight clothes that show their details and cause fitnah (temptation).
