If programming work is limited to permissible activities and has no connection to forbidden websites, then there is no harm in remaining in the job, as it falls under the category of hiring for permissible work, unless it involves assisting in the forbidden. It is disliked to deal with those whose wealth is mixed. However, if programming and design work is integrated for websites promoting alcohol or other reprehensible things, then one must leave the job, because it is not permissible to directly engage in forbidden acts or to assist in them.
