"What is the ruling on one who performed the Farewell Tawaf, then returned to Mina and stayed there for several hours, and only stoned on the Day of Nahr, then he and his wife traveled? "

Praise be to Allah, this man and his wife performed the farewell circumambulation before completing the rituals and traveled. The farewell circumambulation is not valid except after completing the rituals and not staying afterward in Mecca, except for a need such as buying what the traveler needs. There is no farewell required for someone who left not from home with the intention to return on a short journey, nor for a mahram (unmarriageable kin) who went to Mina. The menstruating woman and the woman in postpartum bleeding are not required to perform circumambulation, but if they become pure before leaving Mecca, circumambulation is obligatory for them. Accordingly, the couple is obliged to offer two sacrifices for leaving behind the farewell circumambulation, two for missing the stoning, and two for missing the overnight stay.
