The debt must be paid first, even if it exhausts the inheritance, because it takes precedence over the rights of the heirs. If the creditor waives his right, the heirs take the money. The inheritance is divided into 72 shares: the wife gets one-eighth (9 shares) due to the presence of a lineal descendant, the daughters get two-thirds (48 shares, 16 shares for each), and the remaining (15 shares) goes to the full sister. Inheritance matters must be submitted to the Sharia (definition) courts to verify all heirs, wills, debts, and other rights before distribution.
