What is the ruling on keeping photos of myself and my female colleagues, covered with the niqab and abaya (with hijab), for memory, given that the palm of some, or part of the hand or fingers, is visible?

Scholars differ concerning the ruling on possessing photographic images. Some have leaned towards the general prohibition of possessing images, citing the Prophet Muhammad's — peace and blessings be upon him — statement that angels do not enter a house in which there is an image. The appearance of the hand or fingers in the image is not a reason for prohibition as long as men will not see them, for they are not part of a woman's 'awrah in front of other women.
