Is a person held accountable for an act committed in childhood without being aware of its true nature, especially if it was done under duress?

If a sin occurs before puberty, there is no sin in it, due to the Hadith: "The pen has been lifted from three... and from the child until he reaches puberty." If a sin occurs after puberty and then the servant repents, Allah forgives all sins; as He says: "Say, 'O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful.'" The questioner should not dwell on the matter, nor inform anyone about it, and should instead turn to beneficial knowledge and righteous deeds.
