Is it permissible to work as a network engineer for a company that provides hosting services for websites, some of which may contain permissible content and others forbidden content, knowing that the nature of the work is technical and has no direct relation to the content of the servers, and that the goal of the work is to gain experience in order to return to one's home country?

If the predominant use of devices is unlawful (haram (definition)), then it is not permissible to work with them, due to the Almighty’s saying: "And do not cooperate in sin and aggression." However, if the unlawful (haram) is not predominant, then it is permissible to work, provided one refrains from any work for which its owner is suspected of intending it for unlawful purposes. Nevertheless, working in this field is not free from doubt, so it is better to leave it and seek work that is free from doubts, especially in countries where there is no oversight or accountability.
