What is the ruling on spending a honeymoon? And what is the ruling on spending it in mixed resorts?

There is no impediment to spending a honeymoon, provided that the spouses adhere to the limits set by Allah, and avoid mingling in places that spread indecency and invite to fornication, such as mixed resorts. The prohibition of these places is unequivocal. Allah has not permitted the mixing of men and women except out of necessity or need, with controls including: the prohibition of uncovering 'awrah (intimate parts) (وَالْيَضْرِبْنَ بِخُمُرِهِنَّ عَلَى جُيُوبِهِنَّ - "and to draw their veils over their bosoms"), lowering the gaze (قُلْ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ يَغُضُّوا مِنْ أَبْصَارِهِمْ - "Tell the believing men to lower their gaze"), and women not displaying themselves (وَقَرْنَ فِي بُيُوتِكُنَّ وَلَا تَبَرَّجْنَ تَبَرُّجَ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ الْأُولَى - "And stay in your houses, and do not display yourselves like that of the former times of ignorance").
