Is prayer permissible if cat hair clings to the garment used for prayer, and is it true that prayer is not accepted if the number of hairs exceeds three?

The cat is pure (tahir), as the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: "It is not impure; it is among those who circulate among you (at-tawwafeen) and those who circulate (at-tawwafat)." Therefore, its fur is pure (tahir) a fortiori. There is no harm if some of its fur sticks to your clothes during prayer or otherwise. As for the statement that whoever prays with more than three cat hairs on their clothes, their prayer is not accepted, this is a rejected statement for which there is no evidence. One should be careful about keeping cats in the house due to the possibility of them transmitting diseases.
