What should a questioner do upon finding pornographic films on his brother's computer, given his desire to watch them, and his fear of confronting his brother, informing his parents, or offering advice?
Watching pornographic films is a great evil and a tribulation that leads to indecency. Therefore, it is obligatory to repent from what has been done and not to return to it, and to remove these films from the device if possible, without committing a greater evil. If you are asked about it, you may use evasive language (ma'areedh). If you are unable to remove them, advise their owner gently and kindly, and be patient with his harm, or advise him indirectly, such as playing a tape of an influential preacher who speaks about this topic. If he does not accept the advice, then inform someone who can prevent him from committing the evil, as long as you do not fear harm befalling you.
