Should the family be informed about the spying of non-Muslim neighbors on them, or is silence the correct approach, knowing that the father does not trust those who perceive spying and it is difficult to broach the subject with him? And should an Iraqi family attempting to get to know the household be welcomed, or should they be kept at a distance for fear that they might describe them to the non-Muslim neighbors?

There is deep-rooted animosity between Muslims and disbelievers, as stated in the Holy Quran, and this animosity will not cease until its cause, the difference in religion, disappears. A Muslim must be wary of the plots and deceptions of disbelievers. You should warn your family about neighbors who exhibit suspicious behavior. As for the Iraqi family, there is no harm in getting to know them if they are good, trustworthy Muslims. Finally, if the country you reside in is not a Muslim land, you must emigrate from it unless there is a necessity.
