Is it permissible for a wife to supplicate against her husband who assaults her by beating?

If a husband strikes his wife without a valid Shar'i reason, or if the beating is harmful, then he is an abuser and an aggressor. We advise the wife to be patient with him, to pray for his guidance and righteousness, and not to pray against him with anything greater than his transgression. Forgiveness and pardon are better, especially between spouses.
