هل شراء ملابس جديدة للعيد من السنة، أم أنه تقليد للكفار؟

A Muslim should adorn himself for Eid by wearing his best clothes and applying perfume. The Sunnah has indicated this through the action of Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, and the custom of the Salaf. This is also indicated by the fact that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, did not disapprove of adornment for Eid. Buying new clothes for Eid is not an imitation of the disbelievers, because the forbidden imitation is doing what is specific to them.
