There is no objection to selling scholarly books and textbooks that contain illustrative pictures, as long as the information is beneficial and the pictures are not intended for their own sake, given the general need for them. It is permissible to sell philosophy books that are prescribed for academic study or to someone who is expected to benefit from them and for whom there is no fear of temptation.
