What is the ruling regarding a husband threatening his wife with marrying another woman, while he maintains his prayers and speaks with other women?

If a husband talks to girls, this is a reprehensible act, and he should be advised in a kind manner. Polygyny is permissible شرعًا (Islamically), but the husband should not use it as a means to frighten his wife, provoke her, or break her spirit. The marital relationship is based on affection and good companionship. It is not permissible for the husband to intend to harm his wife by speaking of polygyny if he does not genuinely desire it.
