What is the ruling on light brown discharge that appeared after taking medication to induce menstruation, and does it invalidate the fast?

Brown discharge and spotting are not considered menstruation unless they occur during the usual period or are connected to blood at the end of it. Blood spots are not considered menstruation by the majority of scholars if their total duration does not amount to a day and a night, which is the minimum duration of menstruation. If their total duration does not reach that, then the fasting of the two days is valid, and no make-up is required. However, if the total of those spots and any connected brown discharge amounts to a day and a night, then the woman is considered to be menstruating, and her fasting during the days she saw the blood is not valid.
