Is it permissible for Muslims to participate in the Indian festival of "Holi" and play with colors during it?

The festival of "Holi" or "Festival of Colors" is a Hindu religious festival held at the beginning of spring, during which participants color themselves and light fires to expel evil spirits. A Muslim is not permitted to participate in such festivals for several reasons, including:

1. Not bearing false witness: The festivals of polytheists are considered "falsehood" (az-zur), which Allah has forbidden in the Holy Quran. 2. Not befriending disbelievers: Participating in their festivals stems from love and friendship for disbelievers, which Allah has forbidden. 3. Imitating them: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) forbade imitating disbelievers, stating that "whoever imitates a people is one of them."

A Muslim is not permitted to allow their family members and children to play with colors or participate in these celebrations that include forbidden acts, even if it is for play, because they represent religious rituals of polytheists.
