What should I do with a bag that its owner refused to take possession of after I was asked to deliver it to him?

If your colleague left a bag with you to deliver to another person, who would then deliver it to Egypt, and that person refused to carry it, then you must keep it until its owner comes to take it, or sends you instructions on how to transport it. If you wish to travel and are able to take it with you to deliver it, you will be rewarded. If you cannot, then keep it with a trustworthy person whom you trust. It is mentioned in Kashshaaf al-Qinaa’ that whoever hands over a trust to a stranger or a ruler for an excuse, such as fearing for it due to travel or death, has not transgressed.
