What is the ruling on making up prayers and fasts from previous years for someone who has repented and desires sincere repentance, is unemployed, believes he is bewitched, and that jinn are trying to prevent him from worshipping?
Intentionally abandoning prayer and fasting is a grave sin. However, for one who repents with sincere repentance, Allah will accept their repentance and transform their evil deeds into good ones. You must hasten to repent and maintain prayer in the future, and make up all intentionally missed prayers according to the majority of scholars. This making up should be done according to one's capacity, for example, making up two days' worth of prayers in one day. Similarly, you must make up any missed obligatory fasts. As for the enchanted person who has lost their mind, there is no responsibility upon them and no sin, and they are not required to make up prayers or fasts.
