What is the ruling on working in the field of packaging electronic ringtones for mobile phones, and is it permissible to do so until another job is found?

There is no objection to this work as long as the tones loaded into the phone are not musical. If they are, then the work is not permissible due to its assistance in spreading forbidden music. Allah Almighty says: "And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression." And whoever gives up something for the sake of Allah, Allah will compensate him with something better. Allah Almighty says: "And whoever fears Allah - He will make for him a way out And will provide for him from where he does not expect."
