How can we see a vision?

There is no evidence from the Quran, Sunnah (definition), or the early generations of the Ummah that specifies particular matters for obtaining visions in dreams, as the matter is by Allah's decree. Whoever desires such, let him turn to Allah and ask Him for success in seeing a righteous vision that will help him remain steadfast and firm upon the truth, just as Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her, used to do. She would say upon going to sleep: "O Allah, I ask You for a righteous, truthful, non-lying, beneficial, non-harmful vision."
