What is the ruling on photographing in schools with a "video camera" and a "digital camera" for the purpose of documenting work and submitting it to the education administration based on their request?

It is permissible to film student activities with video and digital cameras for the purpose of documentation and informing the administration, provided that these images are not produced on a fixed medium like paper. Sheikh Ibn Uthaymeen holds the view that video recording is not included in the prohibition, whereas still photography on paper is subject to the five rulings according to the intention. Photography may sometimes be obligatory for documenting crimes or identifying individuals.
