Is it permissible to listen to the Quran and religious lectures in the bathroom while bathing?

If the device from which the sound emanates is inside the bathroom, it is not permissible to operate it, due to the lack of glorification of the Qur’an and Dhikr (remembrance of Allah). However, if it is outside, there is no harm in that; rather, the one who does so will be rewarded for his love of the Qur’an and Dhikr and for his preservation of time.
