Divorce does not occur through phrases by which the husband did not intend to effect it, because they are not explicit. The fact that the husband gave his wife a choice does not effect a divorce as long as he did not intend it. The phrases "your affair is in your hand" or "choose yourself" are considered allusions that require intention or an indication of the situation, and if these are not present, divorce does not occur through them. The wife is not obligated to ask her husband about his intention with every phrase that might imply divorce.
