Is it permissible to perform Hajj on behalf of her brother if her relative made a mistake in pronouncing his name, saying "Hasan" instead of "Adam"?

The permissibility of deputizing someone for Hajj is conditioned upon the deputy having performed Hajj for himself (Hajj al-Islam), and the person on whose behalf Hajj is being performed being incapacitated by an infirmity from which recovery is not expected, or being deceased.

If a suitable person is deputized and an unintentional error occurs in the name of the person on whose behalf Hajj is being performed, without intending someone else, then it appears that this does not affect the validity of the deputyship. The determining factor is the intention, not the naming of the person on whose behalf Hajj is being performed, as stated by the jurists. The fatwas of the Permanent Committee (for Islamic Research and Issuing Fatwas) state that for performing Hajj on behalf of another, the intention suffices, and it is not necessary to name the person on whose behalf Hajj is being performed.
