Most Hadith imams have weakened the Hadith "Al-irq dassas" (Lineage is an infiltrator). Al-Saffarini, in "Ghidha' al-Albāb," explained its meaning as "an infiltrator" (dakhkhāl) because the pulling (نزع) in it occurs subtly and imperceptibly. Its meaning is that if a man marries from a righteous lineage, the child will resemble the wife's family in deeds and character, and vice versa.
