How should one deal with a non-Muslim niece who is expecting a child out of wedlock, while avoiding exposing one's children to her lifestyle?

We appreciate your protective concern for your family's honor and your eagerness to raise your daughters with chastity and purity. This is a duty that Allah the Almighty has enjoined upon fathers and mothers, and this concern becomes even more critical if you live in a non-Muslim country or if your family is from among the disbelievers.

We invite you to reflect on two matters: 1. Your good relationship with your niece might be a strong motivation for her to embrace Islam, especially given her need for someone to help her through life's hardships. 2. Cutting off your relationship with her might push her to associate with evil people, and increase her harmful actions, the effects of which might reach you. It might be in your best interest to block the path of corrupt individuals.

However, if she is the type who does not respond and her evil predominates, then we deem it appropriate for you to cut off your relationship with her.
