Must one adhere to the fatwa of the Kingdom's Mufti, even if it contradicts the fatwa of a trusted Sheikh, approved by the Kingdom's scholars, who possesses Shar'i (Islamic legal) evidence?

A knowledgeable scholar, possessing extensive awareness and strong perception, must examine the evidence and derive rulings from it. It is not permissible for him to engage in taqlid (blind following). As for the common person, or one who lacks the ability to delve into matters, they should follow reliable scholars and ask the people of knowledge about what is unclear to them. It is not obligatory to follow the Mufti of the Kingdom or any specific individual after the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him. It is permissible to ask other trustworthy and reliable scholars, even if their fatwa (religious ruling) differs from the opinion of the Grand Mufti, while preserving the status and respect of the scholars.
