What is the ruling on performing ghusl, praying, and reciting Qur’an after feeling dryness and before the complete cessation of brownish discharge (kudrah), and is the thick blood that subsequently descends considered menses or istihadah?
If the yellowish or brownish discharge is connected to blood, it is considered menstruation. If a woman sees it after her regular period, and it is connected to it, the ruling is the same. However, if she becomes pure and then sees a yellowish or brownish discharge, she should not pay attention to it. Dryness that lasts for hours, but less than a day, before blood returns, is not considered purity. Therefore, (ritual bath), prayer, and fasting in this situation are invalid because purity has not been achieved. If the fast was obligatory, it must be made up. However, prayer does not need to be made up. Ghusl must be performed upon seeing the sign of complete purity, whether it is complete dryness or the emission of white discharge after the cessation of blood and its related secretions.
